PingWatchdog monitors your SSL/TLS certificates and alerts you before they expire. Know about expiring certs, domain mismatches, and weak cipher suites before they cause outages.

How it works

Get notified 30, 14, and 7 days before expiry

See full certificate chain details in your dashboard

Common use cases

Teams managing multiple domains and subdomains with different certificate authorities

SaaS platforms with customer-facing domains that need automated certificate monitoring

Frequently asked questions

How often do you check certificates?

Every 24 hours. We check the full certificate chain, issuer, expiry date, subject, and Subject Alternative Names.

When do you send expiry warnings?

You get alerts at 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before expiry. You can configure which channels receive SSL alerts separately from uptime alerts.

Does this check for weak ciphers?

Yes — we flag certificates using deprecated algorithms (SHA-1) or weak key sizes. We also alert on domain name mismatches.
